ORDINANCE NO. 601q.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IYTROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. cal 8 OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than
two - thirds in assessed value of the property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying
that an improvement district be established for the purpose here-
inafter set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all par-
ties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition
was signed by more than two - thirds in assessed value of the
owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following described property:
Lot 2, Block A and the north one -half (N2) of
the alley between Lots 1 and 2 of Block A,
All of Block B.
South one hundred forty -seven feet (1471)
of Block C,
All lying in VVoodruffts Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lots 7 to 12, inclusive, of Block l;
Lots 4 to 12, inclusive, of Block 2;
Lots 1, 22 3, and 8 to 14, inclusive,of Block 3;
Lots 1, 2, 31 12, 13, and 14 of Block 4
All in Stevensonfs Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Lots 1 to 8, inclusive, of Block 1;
Lots 1 to 8, inclusive, and Lots 14, 15, and 16
of Block 2;
All that land in the Kramer School Block lying
between the boundaries of Sherman and Ferry Streets,
and'between East Seventh and East Eighth Streets;
Lots 7, 8, and 9 of Block 3;
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Block 3 and
running thence north along the east boundary line
of said block to the Northeast corner of said Block,
thence west along the north boundary line of said
Block to the Northeast corner of Lot 7, thence south
along the east boundary line of Lot 7 to the south
boundary line of said Block, thence east along said
south boundary line to the point of beginning;
All in Johnson's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas.

for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering, and
paving, in such a manner and with such materials as the com-
missioners to be elected for the said improvement district shall
deem to be for the best interest of said district, the following
parts of the following streets in the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, to -wit:
Ferry Street from the north side of East 5th
Street to the south side of East 9th Street;
East 7th Street from the east side of Sherman
Street to the west side of Rector Street;
East 8th Street from the east side of Sherman
Street to the west side of Rector Street.
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and
charged upon the real property above described,
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. 549; and John Pipkin, J. H. Tuohey, and George
Koonce are hereby named Commissioners, who shall compose the
Board of Improvement for said District.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
