An Ordinance Assessing the Value of the Benefits to be
Received by the Owners of each of the Several Blocks,
Lots and Parcels of Land within Street Improvement
District No. 545 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, persons owning two- thirds in value of the property
adjoining the locality to be affected and situate in Street Im-
provement District No. 545, organized for the purpose of grading,
and to prepare a base and pave in such manner and with such
materials as the Commissioners Xg for the said Improve-
ment District shall deem to be for the best interest of said
District, Park Avenue from the north line of Block 7, Shelton's
Addition. extended wester to the north side of Roosevelt Road,
or West Twenty -fifth Street; West Twenty -third and West Twenty -
fourth Streets,, from the west line of Schiller Avenue to the
east"line. -,dt 'Park Avenue, have petitioned the Council of the
City of Little Rock for the construction of said improvement,
and - thhat the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real
property of-said District according to the benefits received;

'WHEREAS ; said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situate in said District equals
or 6keeeds -the local assessment thereon; and
`WHEREAS, the estimated cost of. said improvement is
X3,417.19, exclusive of interest;
NOW,THEREFORE, it is ordained`by the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION.1. That said several blocks, lots and parcels of
real property in said District be assessed according to the
assessment list for said Improvement District, as the same now
remains in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Little
Rock, and as the same may be annually readjusted by the Board of
Assessors, and that twenty per cent (20) of said assessment
of value of benefits of each of said blocks, lots and parcels
of land shall be paid annually on or before the 16th day of
December each year until said assessment shall have been paid
in full. The first annual payment shall be made on or before
the 16th day of December, 1940.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
