AN ORDINANCE AiLENDING SECTION ONE OF ORDINANCE NWBER 4009
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE RjCK, ARKANSAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:;
Section 1: That Section one of Ordinance Number 4009 passed by thfC
City Council April 12, 1926, b# and the same is hereby amended in its
entirety to read as follows:
"Section 1. In order to protect the morals, sense of decency, peace,
and safety of the residents of the City, especially those under legal
age, a Board of Censors is hereby created, consisting of twenty one
members. One member shall be choseln at the anual elction of the
Little Rock Parent -t- Teachers Association, such elected member to be
reported to the City Council immediately following such election; one
shall be appointed by XKX each member of the Council and the member so
appointed shall serve at the mill and pleasure of the aldLerm&ri making
n
the gpointment and appointee must reside in the ward of the alderman mak+
ing the ap ointment; one member shall be 4pointed by the mayor and
the eamber ap pointed by the ;Mayor shall serve as Chairman of the
Board, the member to be ap. ointed by the iaapor shall serve at the will
and pleasure of the Mayor and shbll reside in the City of Little Rock.
When a vacancy occurs it shall be filled by apvoin�ment of the person

who made the 4pointment oriclinally.
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances only insofar as
they conflict herewith ape hereby repealed and this ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its gassabe and ap ;roa#l.
