ORDINANCE No. 6049.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT No. 549.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of two -
thirds in assessed value of the property located within the
territory hereinafter described have filed a peti.tioa;:p,,rg g
that an improvement district be established for the purposes
hereinafter set out.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
City Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard
all parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that
said petition was signed by two- thirds in assessed value of
the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY-THE CITY COUNCIL
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an._impzo*aa;" ,
district embracing the following described property:
Beginning at a point at the southwest corner
of Lot 13, Block 7, thence *ast alon the north
property line of West Twenty- fourth 24th) Street
to a point at the southeast corner of Lot 12,
Block 8, thence north to a point at the northeast
corner of Lot 7, Block 8, thence west to a point
at the northwest corner of Lot 18, Block 7, thence
south to the point of beginning all in Chesterfield
Square Addition to the City of Little Rock.
Said property .within the improvement district hereby
established consists of the following described property:
Lots 13 to 18, inclusive, Block 7,
hats 7 to 12, inclusive, Block 8. all in
Chesterfield Square Addition to the City of Little Rock.
The purpose of the improvement district hereby
established is to drain, grade, curb, gutter, and pave the
following described streets, to -wit:
Martin Street from a point 300 fe oP
the south property line of Vest Twent (22nd)
Street to the north property line.-, III ty-
fourth (24th) Street,
in such manner and with such materials as the Board of
Improvement of said district may deem for the best interests
of the district, subject to the approval of the City Engineer.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. 549; and Harry g. Brown, Roy E. Ragsdale, and
Loretta Frances Sutter are hereby named commissioners, who
shall compose the Board of Improvement for said distrMto
Section Q. This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
