AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS TO BE
RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE LOTS, PARCELS
AND TRACTS OF LAND WITHIN STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 537 irf THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the majority in value of the property holders
owning property ,adjoining the locality to be affected and situated
In Street Improvement District No. 537, organized for the purpose
of grading, draining, curbing and guttering the streets in said
district, having petitioned the council of the Cit;t of Little Rock
for the construction of said improvement, azd that the cost thereof
shall be assessed upon the real property of said district according
to benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot and parcel of real property situated in said district equals or
exceeds the local assessment thereon; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
$7,500.00; Now, Therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The said several lots of real property in
said district be assessed according to the assessment list for such
improvement district as same now remains in the office of the City
Clerk, and that TW,enty per cent (20%) of the assessment on each lot
shall be paid annually on or before the 1st day of May each, beginning
with May 1st, 1941, until the whole of said local assessment of
benefits shall be paid.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
In conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
