ORDINANCE N0, 6061
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 551 OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, iANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more
than two- thirds in assessed value of the property located Within
the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying
that an improvement district be established for the purposes
hereinafter set out; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all
persons desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said
petition Was signed by more than two- thirds in assessed value
of the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following described property:
Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, of Block 6
Lots S to 15, inclusive, of Block 7
All in Plateau Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas.
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering, and
paving in such a manner and with such materials as the Com-
missioners to be elected for the said improvement district shall
deem to be for the best interest of said district, the following
part of the following street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit:
Pine Street from its intersection with a line con-
necting the Southeast corner of Block 3 in Plateau
Addition to the Southwest corner of Block 2 of the
same Addition, to'the north property line of West
4th Street.
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government, be assessed and

charged upon the real property above described, provided the
liability of each lot or tract of land shall be limited to its
assessed benefits.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement
District No. .551 ; and 0 L. Meade ,
C. J. Henry , and E. G. Guess
are hereby named Commissioners, who shall compose the Board of
Improvement for said District.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
