ORDINANCE NO. 6090
AN ORDINM11?CE ESTABLISHING STREET PAPROVEri?ENT
DISTRICT NO. 553 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARK.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than two- thirds
in assessed value of the property located within the territory hereinafter
described have filed a petition praying that an improvement district be established
for the purpose hereinafter set out; and
7HEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all parties desiring to be heard, and
has ascertained that said petition was sunned by more than two- thirds in assessed
value of the owners of real property within said territory;
Now, Therefore, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district embracing
the following property in the City of Little Rock, to -wit:
Lot 7,8,9,10,11 and 12 of Block 5
Lot. 7,8,9 10,11 and 12 of Block ":6
Lots 7,8,9,10,11 and 12 of Block 7
Lots^ 5,6,7, and 8 6f Block 8
LA4 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 of Block 9
Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9,Block 10
Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,809,10,11 and 12,Block 11
Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,11 and 12 of Block 12; all in Woodruff's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and
Lots 4,5 and 6 of Block "A"
Lots 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 of Block 2; all in Hanger Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and
A strip of land 60 feet wide lying between Lot 4 Block 9
and Lot 1 Block 10 Woodruffs Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas
for the purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering and paving in such a
manner and with such materials as the Commissioners to be elected for the said
improvement district shall deem to be for the best interest of said district, the
following parts of the following streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
to -wit;
East Eighth Street from the East Side of Rector Avenue
to the West side of College Street;
Collins and Byrd Streets from the South side of East Eighth
Street to the North Side of East Ninth Street; and
College Street from the South property line, extended of Block 8,
Woodruff's Addition to the City of Little Rock to the North side
of East Ninth Street;

and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from any agency
of the Federal or City Government be assessed and charged upon the real property ab
scribed, provided the liability of each lot or tract of land shall be limited
to its assessed benefits.
Said district shall be known as Street Improvement District No, 553;

Section 2. This ordinance
shall take effect and be In force from and after is nonssage and approval.
