INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SWEEPING TIE, STREETS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS KITH A MECHANICAL S=M.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE, ROCK, ARKAII &,3.
Section 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby.authorized and requested
____ to_take- .,bids and -enter into a contract -to sweep the streets of the City--ef-

Little Rock, Arkansas, with a mechanical sweeper at a rate not to exceed
Seventy -five cents (75�) per speedometer mile.
Section 2. The person, firm, or corporation alurarded the contract shall
agree to the following provisions of the contract:
Speedometer readings shall be recorded at the beginning and
ending of each days work.
The streets that are to be swept shall be designated by the
City Engineer, a minimum of twenty -five miles designated each
twenty -four hours, weather permitting.
Section 3. The successful bidder shall agree to place sweepings in
dimip piles at locations to be designated by the City Engineer and a report.
of all locations where said dump piles are located each day shall be
furnished the City Engineer before 8:00 a. m. daily. This report shall .
include all streets swept, the number of blocks, and the location of said
streets. The successful bidder is to supply one mechanical sweeper,pay all
labor costs for drivers, and to maintain and furnish all parts for repairs.
The City of Little Rock agrees to pay not in excess of seventy -five cents (754)
per speedometer mile and furnish storage for one mechanical sweeper in the City
Repair Shop Garage and the necessary grease and the use of the City's equipment
for lubrication purposes only. The contract when agreed upon ihall be terminated
upon twenty -fours notice by either party on and after said contract has hem -in- --
force. fifteen (15) days.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
