ORDINANCE NO. 6136,
AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF BENEFITS
TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF EACH OF THE
SEVERAL BLOCKS, LOTS AND PARCELS OF LAND WITH-
IN ANNEX NO. 3 TO STREET IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 531, OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, more than two - thirds in value of the proper-
ty holders owning property adjoining the locality to be affect-
ed and situated in Annex No. 3 to Street Improvement District
No. 531, in the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, organized for the
purpose of grading, draining, curbing, guttering, paving and
otherwise improving the following described street, to -wit:
West 20th Street from a point approximately
at the East line of the alley which runs North
and South through Block 16, Niemeyer t s Addition
to the pity of Little hock, Arkansas, and con-
necting at that point with the pavement on
West 20th Street, to the East side of the pave-
ment on Pine Street at approximately the West
property line of Lot 9, Block 16, Braddock +s
Addition;
have -petitioned the City Council of the City of Little Rock,Ark-
ansas, for the construction of said improvements and thtt the
cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property in said dis-
tract according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block,
lot, and parcel of real property, railroad and railroad might -of-
way situated in said district equals or exceeds the local assess-
ment thereon; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is
42,100.00, exclusive of interest, and the assessed benefits
amount to 45,630.00; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF ,'IFE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the several blocks, lots, and parcels
of real property, railroads, andrailroad right -of -ways in said
Annex No. 3 to Street Improvement District No. 531 of the City of

Little Rock, Arkansas, be and they are hereby assessed accord-
ing_ to the
assessment list as
the same
now remains in
the office
of theCity
Clerk of the City
of Little
Kock, Arkansas;
and as the
same may be annually readjusted by the Board of Assessors, and
that 12% of said assessment of the value of benefits to each of
said blocks, lots and parcels of land, railroad, and railroad
right -of -way shall be paid on or before the 1st day of May, 1941,
in each of the years 1941 to 1948, inclusive, until the whole of
said assessment shall have been paid, or so much thereof as may
be required to pay the debts of said district.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
