An Ordinance Assessing the Value of the Benefits to be heceived by
Each of the Lots and Parcels of Real Property in Street Improvement
District No. 553 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas
NHS, the majority in value of the property holders owning
property adjoining the locality to be affected and situated in Street
Improvement District No. 653 organized for the purpose of grading,
draining, curbing, guttering and paving the following streets in the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
East Eighth Street from the East Side of Rector Avenue
to the ��est Side of College Street;
Collins and Byrd Streets from the South Side of Last
Eighth Street to the North Side of East Ninth Street; and
College Street from the South property line, extended of
Block 8, WoodruffIs Addition to the City of Little Rock
to the North Side of East Ninth Street;
And have petitioned the Council of the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas for the construction of said improvement;
And that the cost thereof shall be assessed upon the real property
of said district according to the benefits received; and
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot
and parcel of real property situated in the said district equals or
exceeds the local assessment thereon; and,
ItiHE'Ft'EAS, the estimated cost of said improvement is $7,108.00,
exclusive of interest on borrowed money;
THEREFORE, it is now ordained by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas;
Section 1: That said several blocks, lots and parcels of real
property in (said district be assessed according to the assessment
list for said improvement district as the same now remains in the office
of the City Clerk, and that ,_ per cent on each of said blocks,
lots and parcels shall be paid annually on or before the 1st day of
December of each year be inning Deq b r 1, 1941
until the whogle of said �ocal assessment shall be paid or until
the outstanding bonded indebtedness against said district shall have
been paid.

Section 2: That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
