J*AN ORDINANCE
FOR THE APPROPRIATION-OF-THE SUM OF THREE HUNDRED
SIXTY DOLLARS (360.00) TO THE BIG SISTERS' COMMITTEE
FOR THE NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH WOMEN TO ASSIST IN
COMMUNITY CENTER WORKIr
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section I
It is hereby appropriated out of the General
Revenue Fund of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the
sum of three hundred sixty dollars (360.00) for the use
and benefit of the community center located at 3909 West
26th Street operated and maintained by the Big Sisterst
Committee of the National Council of Jewish Women for the
benefit of under - privileged childred of this city.
Section II
Said $360.00 shall be paid at the rate of $30.00
per month beginning on the tenth day of July, 1941, and
continuing until the tenth day of July, 1942.
Section III
The proper city officials are hereby directed and
empowered to issue warrants upon the General Revenue Fund
of this city, in the amounts above stated, made pgyable to
the Big Sisters' Committee of the Little Rock Council of
Jewish Women.
Section IV
This money so appropriated shall be used by said
committee for the purpose of paying the rent and utilities
necessary for this undertaking.
Section V
All laws and parts of laws that conflict herewith
are hereby repealed and an emergency is hereby declared to

exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in
full force from after its passage and approval.
