AN ORDINANCE TO GOVERN PARKING ON EAST MARKHAM STREET FROM
SCOTT STREET TO (LAIN STREET; WEST MARKHAM STREET. FROM MAIN
.TO BROADWAY; CONWAY STREET FROM WEST MARKHAM STREET TO
GARLAND AVENUE; AND GARLAND AVENUE FROM CONWAY STREET TO
GAINES STREET FOR A PERIOD OF NINETY DAYS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. For a period of ninety days from the

gaos�ge and approval of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful
to park any vehicle from 7:00 A. M. to 7 :00 P. Y. on East
Markham Street from Scott Street to Main Street, and on Test
Markham Street from iiiil.n Street to Broadway, except that
parking speae be permitted to accomodate two taxicabs at the
taxicab stand now located in front of the Marion Hotel at
Markham and Louisiana Streets.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful to park any
vehicle on Conway Street from Markham Street to Garland
Avenue from 7:00 A. M. to 7:00 P. M.
SECTION 3. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle
on Garland Avenue from Conway Street to Gaines Street from
7 :00 A. M. to 7:00 P. M.
SECTION 4. The City Traffic Department shall
remove all time parking signs from the area covered by this
ordinance.
SECTION 5. Penalties for violation of this
ordinance shall not be less than $2.00 or more than $5.00
for each offense.
SECTION 6. Whereas, the inoreaseltraffic on said
streets herein named has created a hazard to the pedestrian
and motoring public, and this ordinance being necessary for
the public peace, health and safety of the citizens of Little
Book, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
