Sectiori 1. Hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person
in any public glace, or highway pr�street, or in or upon any pa-senger
coach, street car, or in or upon any vehicle co „uaonly used T'or the
transportation of passengers, or in or about any depot, platform,
V:aiting station or room, to arink any intoxicating liquor of any
kind. it shall be unlawful for any person to be drunk or intoxicated
in any public place, or in any passenger coach, street car, or other
~public place or building, or at any public gathering, or to be
drunk and disorderly.
Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of this
ordinance shall be guilt -T of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof
shall be punished by fine of not less than rive (',.5.00) Dollars nor
more than One . undred (",;)100.00) Dollars, or by imprisonment for
not less Lhan five (5) days nor more than thirty (30) days, or by
both such line and imprisonment.
Section 3. Whereas, the drinking of intoxicating liquors and
persons being intoxicated in public places is a menace to public morals
and decency, and this ordinance oeing necessary for the public peace,
health and safety of the citizens of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
