AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SPONSOR A W. P. A. PROJECT
FOR CERTAIN DRAINAGE DITCHES FOR MALARIA CONTROL IN THE AIRPORT
AREA; AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR AND MAKE PURCHASE OF NEEDED MATERIALS NOT IN EXCESS OF
THE SUM OF THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,000.00); ORDERING THAT STONE
BE MADE AVAILABLE AT THE QUARRY;TO APPROPRIATE THE NECESSARY
j.. SUMS FROM THE AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION FUND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK,- ARKANSAS -
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sponsor a
W. P. A. project for certain drainage ditches for malaria control
in the airport area.
Section 2. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized
to advertise for bids for and make purchase of materials necessary

for the construction of the ditches authorized in Section 1.
Section 3. There is hereby appropriated from the airport
construction fund the sum of Three. Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) or
so much thereof as shall be necessary to pay for the purchases

authorized in Section 2, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
` authorised to issue the oity's.xarraht or warrants against the
j city's fund for such purposes.
Section 4. It is hereby directed that the necessary stone

for the projects authorized in Section 1 be made available at the
quarry.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effeot
from and after its passage and approval.
