3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH YOUR TOTAL FITNESS SHOP FOR THE
5 PURCHASE OF FITNESS EQUIPMENT FOR USE AT THE JIM DAILEY
6 FITNESS AND AQUATIC CENTER AND DUNBAR AND SOUTHWEST
7 COMMUNITY CENTERS, IN THE AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED
8 THIRTY -ONE THOUSAND, SIX HUNDRED EIGHTY -NINE DOLLARS
9 ($231,689.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 WHEREAS, citizens utilizing the Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatic Center and the City's community
12 centers have expressed need and desire to have updated fitness equipment; and,
13 WHEREAS, advisory committees for said entities have also expressed concern and support for new
14 and improved equipment; and,
15 WHEREAS, Bid #12313 was issued and Your Total Fitness Shop submitted the most responsible
16 and responsive bid in the amount of Two Hundred Thirty-One Thousand, Six Hundred Eighty-Nine
17 Dollars ($231,689.00);
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Your Total Fitness Shop for
21 the purchase of fitness equipment for the Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatic Center and the Dunbar and
22 Southwest Community Centers, in the amount of Two Hundred Thirty-One Thousand, Six Hundred
23 Eighty-Nine Dollars ($231,689.00).
24 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the

resolution.
Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
