IZIT;G A ND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO BUY THE PAINT
A�'1D TO EMPLOY THE LABOR NECESSARY TO DO THE SAID PAIT_ "ING, DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST, A D FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TFE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized
or contract for the purchase of
and directed to purchase /the paint necessary and toemploy the
labor necessary to paint yellow crosswalks at all corners on
Scott, Main, Louisiana, Center, Spring and Broadway Streets in
the City of Little Rock from !Markham to 9th Street and to
paint yellow stripes thereon to establish uniform parking spaces
on said streets, the length and width of the said parking spaces
to be fixed by the Traffic Commission.
Section 2. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby requested
and instructed to complete within thirty days of the passage and
*pgr *v &1 of this ordinance the work descrihed'in Section 1 of
this ordinance.
Section 3. WHEREAS, the efficient conduct and regulation of
traffic on the streets of the City of Little Rock is a matter of
vital concern to every citizen of Little Rock, this ordinance it
found to be necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety and an emergency is declared to exist, and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
