AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS AND TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF AN EXTENSION TO THE FIRE STATION BUILD*
NG LOCATED AT TWENTY THIRD AND ARCH STREETS IN THE CITY
F LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, DECLARING AN EMER,'ENCY TO EXIST,
ND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby
uthorived to adverti$e for �d bids and to enter into a
ontract to construct a twenty foot extension onto the
ear of the Fire Station now located at Twenty.Third and
rch Streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas. The
card is requested to use, wherever it is practicable,
the brick removed from the Fire Station now located at
Twelfth and Valentine Street& in the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas.
Section Z. WHEREAS, it is a matter of vital concern to
each citihen in Little Rock that adequate and efficient fire
fighting facilities be available at all.times, an emergenvy
is hereby declared to exist, this ordinance is found to be
necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health,
gnd safety and the same shall be in effect from and after
its passage and approval.
