HomeMy WebLinkAbout136391 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 RESOLUTION NO. 13,639 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR, CITY CLERK AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4001 WEST 13TH STREET IN LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, FOR PARKING FOR THE 12TH STREET STATION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the City is in the process of planning and constructing a police station on 12th Street; and, WHEREAS, additional property will be needed to expand the parking area for the 12th Street Police Station; and, WHEREAS, the City Board of Directors has determined that it is in the best interests of the City and its inhabitants for the City to purchase the property located at 4001 West 13th Street for the parking lot expansion at its appraised value of Thirty-Six Thousand Dollars ($36,000). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Mayor, City Clerk and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute, as appropriate and in a form approved by the City Attorney, any documents needed for the City to purchase, for the sum of Thirty-Six Thousand Dollars ($36,000) plus payment of all closing costs, the property located at 4001 West 13th Street in Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Lot One (1), Block Five (5), W.B. Worthen's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and being shown on plat recorded in Plat Book 1, page 21, records of Pulaski County, Arkansas. Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
