AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ACCEPT $15,054.39 IN
SETTLEMENT OF THE DAMAGE TO THE FAIR PARK CLUB HOUSE•BAR MARKING
SAID SUM OF $15,054.39 TO BE USED FOR THE REBUILDING AND/OR
IMPROVEMENT OF THE FAIR PARK CLUB HOUSE,DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
TO EXIST, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
vloft 1. The Mayor is hereby authorised and instruite`d to
accept from the insurance carrier the sum of 415,054.39 in full
settlement of all damages sustained by the Fair Park Club House in
the recent fire; and the Mayor is hereby authorised to execute any
appropriate instrument of release desired by said insurance carrier
on payment of said sum.
Section 2. The sum of $15,064939 mentioned in Section 1 of
this ordinance, when paid to the City of Little Rock, is hereby
ear marked and said sum shall be used for no other purpose than
to rebuild, repair, and /or improve the Fair Park Club House.
Section S. The prompt settlement of claims being essential
to the efficient conduct of the City's business and vital to the
public peace, health, and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
