ORDINANCE NO. 6404
AN ORDINANCE CREATING AN ADDITIONAL POSITION OF SERGEANT IN THE
TRAFFIC BUREAU OF THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY TO EXIST, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. There is hereby created the position of sergeant

in the Traffic Bureau of the Police Department of the City of
Little Rookf This position shall be in addition to the other
positions now authorized under the ordinances of the City of
Little Rock.
Section 2. The person to fill the position created by
Section l of this ordinance shall be chosen by the Civil Service
Commission in the manner provided by law and shall receive a
salary of $142.50 per month.
Section 3. The efficient administration of all phases of the
Police Department is found to have an immediate relation to the
public peace, health and safety; an emergency is declared to
exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
