AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET
IMPROVEIENT DISTRICT NO. 963 OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
•
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more
than two - thirds in assessed value of the property located within
the territory hereinafter described have filed a petition praying
that an improvement district be established for the purpose
hereinafter set out; and
WHRREAS, after due notice as required by law, the City
Council of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all the
parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said
petition was signed by more than two- thirds in assessed value of
the owners of real property within said territory;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property in the City of Little
Rock, to -wit:
Lots 1 to 6, inclusive, of Blocks 9,
10, and 11;
Lots 7 to 129 inclusive, of Blocks 14,
15, and 16;
All in Crawford's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas;
for the purpose of grading, draining and paving in such a manner
and with such materials as the commissioners to -be elected for
the said improvement district shall deem to be for the best
interest of said district, the following part of the following
street in the City,of Little Rock, Arkansas, to -wit:
Cross Street from the South property line
of West 25th Street (also known as Roosevelt
Road) to the North property line of West
28th Street;
and that the cost thereof, over and above any aid received from
any agency of the federal or city government be assessed and charged
upon the real property above described, provided the liability of
each,lot or tract of land-shall be limited to its assessed benefits.

District No, c3_; and Walter G. Hendrick, W. E. Lokey, and
Leroy Tipton, are hereby named commissioners, who shall compose
the Board of Improvement for said district.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
