AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARY OF THE ASSISTANT CHIEF
OF POLICE OF THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The salary of the person holding the
osition of *ssistan- QUe:f of - Police D art
men is hereby fixed at Two Hundred and Twenty -seven Dollars
($227.00) per month, payable as other salaries are paid in
the said Police Department.
Section 2. The salary provided in Section 1 of this
ordinance shall be effective as of and after May 1, 1942.
Section 3.. The efficient administration of the
functions of the Little Rock Police Department being of vital
concern to the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in

full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
