HomeMy WebLinkAbout6433ORDINANCE NO. 6433 AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE GIVING OF FALSE NAMES TO THE LITTLE ROCK HEALTH DEPARTMENT OR THE LITTLE HOCK PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER, MAKING VIOLATIONS HE -EOF A MISDEMEANOR, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. It is hereby declared to be a misdemeanor for any ..;_: <parsox -to give to the ]public Health Officer any false or assumed name or any name other than the rightful name of said person when said false or assumed name is given for the purpose or has the eaffect of confusing or rendering inaccurate the records of the Little Rock Health Lepartment. Section 2. This ordinance is intended especially to apply to all d;tentions ilt quarantine or physical examinations ordered or conducted by the Little hock Health Department or by the Public Health Officer of the City of Little hock. Section 3. Any person$ violating Section 1 of this ordinance shall, after conviction in an appropriate court, be fined in any sum not less than Ten Dollars ($10.00) nor more than Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars (J250.00). Section 4. This ordinance is intended to be cumulative to all other ordinances now existing and i,s not intended to repeal any of said ordinances except where there is irreconcilable conflict.. Section 5. If any part, phrase, clause, section, or sub- section of this ordinance be held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed the resaining parts of this ordinance if it had known that such part, phrase, clause, sections, or sub- section would be declared unconstitutional. Section 6. The maintenance of adequate and accurate records in the office of the City Haalth Officer or the health Department of the City of Little Rock being viti'l-to the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and ,after its passage and approval.
