AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE OFFER OF THE MAGNOLIA PETROLEUM COMPANY TO
PURCHASE LOT 9 AND THE SOUTH HALF OF LOT 10, BLOCK 20, PULASKI HEIGHTS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AUTHORIZING THE I+dAYOR AND
j CITY CLERK TO CONVEY SAID PROPERTY TO THE MAGNOLIA PETROLEUM COMPANY ON
RECEIPT OF THE PURCHASE PRICE, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF AN ABSTRACT OF
TITLE TO SAID REAL PROPERTY, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND rOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Little Rock, Arkansas has found as a
fact that the City of Little Pock has abandoned the use of the lands
and improvements hereinafter described because other facilities have
been provided and because such property, on account of its location
and physical condition, can no longer be used to advantage or with
economy by the City, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The city hereby accepts the offer of Magnolia Petroleum
to purchase from the city for the sum of �i7,500.00 the following lands
to-wit :
Lot Nine (9), and the South Half of Lot Tex (10) .
in Block Twenty (20), Pulaski Heights Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
together with all improvements thereon.
Section 2. Upon approval of title, the kayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to convey said real property to the Magnolia Petroleum
Company on receipt by the City of Little Rock of said purchase price
of Seven Thousand rive Hundred Dollars 07,500.00).
Section 3. The "Savor is nereby authorized to purchase an abstract
of title, or to secure any necessary continuation of same that may be
required to evidence the title of the City to said real property.
Seetiox 4. The expeditious and rapid handling of the City's
business affairs being necessary to tfie public peace, health and safety,
and such property being vacant and not suitable for private use without
expensive alteration, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval.
