RGZNCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED SY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANAS: SECTIUN 1. It is hereby made a misdemeanor for any person, fir.n or corporation to sell ueer or to offer same for sale at retail in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas on Sunday or after twelve o'clock P. ,6i. of any other day in the week and before seven o'clock of the following; week day. oi;CTIUN 2. Any person, firs: or corporation who violates or who assists or aids or abets in the violation of Section 1 of this ordinance shall ue guilty of a misdemeo -.nor, and, upon con- viction, shall be fined in any sum not less than twenty -five dollars and not more than two hundred fifty dollars for the first offense; and upon conviction of a second or any successive violation of this ordinance occurrinL within twelve months of a preceding conviction, shall ue fined as set out aoove or shall be imprisoned for riot less than one day or more than thirty days or both, and in adaition'thereto shall suffer the revocation of his city license to do ousiness as a retail beer dealer, if he possesses such license. SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation who violates or aids or abets in the violation of the provisions of section three of this ordinance shall oe. guilt;] of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than twenty -five dollars nor more than two hundred fifty dollars for the first offense, and upon conviction of a second offense or any successive offense occurring within twelve months of a preceding conviction for the violation of the terms of this ordinance shall rye fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars and imprisoned for not less than three days nor more than thirty days, or both, and in addition thereto shall suffer the revocation r a. � M C of his Vity license to do business as a retail wine dealer, if he possesses such license. 6ECTIQ14 j. The term "Beer" means any fermented liquor made from malt or any substitute therefor and having an alcoholic content. The term "Wine" means any fermented alcoholic liquor made from bra,-,.)es, uerries or other fruits or vegetables, regardless of whether said liquor has an alcoholic content more or less than three and two tenths percent (3.2;0) by weight, and regardless of whether said alcoholic content has oeen augmented by the addition of alcohol or alcoholic liquors other than those arising from the fermentation. 6ECTIW4 b. The control of the sale of all types of alcoholic beverages being vital to the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and appro val.
