For General purposes in order to carry on the affairs of
the City Government under Section 4, Article 12, of the
Constitution of 1874, there is hereby levied a tax of Five
(5) mills.
For the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest of the City
of Little Rook as may be rewired in the Funding Bond issue
of May let, 1925, and refunding issue of Noremb er let, 1935,
and refunding issue of November lets 1938, a tax of three
(3) mills for the year 1943 is hereby levied; and Ordinance
No. 3789 is hereby amended only insofar as to apply to levy
for the year 1943-
For the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest of the City of
Little Rock as may be rewired in the Airport, Fire Equipment
and Hospital Annex Bond issue of November let, 1929, a tax

For the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest of the City of
Little Rook as may be required in the Munict pal Auditorium

apply to levy for the year 1943.

Little Rook as may be rewired in the Library Annex Bond
issue of February 1st., 19371 a tax of Ten Hundredths (.10)
of a mill for the year 193 is hereby levied.
For the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest of the City of

For, the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest of the City, of
Little Rook, as may be required 'in the Fair Park Isprovement
Bond issue of October lot, 1940, a tax of Tad Hundredths
(.10) Of a mill for the year 1943 is hereby levied.

For the purpose of paying Bonds and Interest of the City of
Little Rock as may be required in the Fire Department
Construction Bond issue of March 1, 1941 (second issue) , a
tax of Twenty Hundredths (.20) of a mill for the year 1943
is hereby levied.
For the purpose of paying Fireman's Pensions,, in accordance j
with the provisions of Amendment No. 31 to the Constitution
of the State of Arkansas.. adopted November 5, 1940, and Act
14 of the Acts of the general Assembly of the State of
Ar asss for theyear 1941, and the acts amendatory thereto,

For the purpose of paying Policemen's Pensions , in accordance
with the provisions of Amendment No. 31 to the Constitution
of the State of Arkansas,, adopted November 5, 1940 , and Act 16
of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas
for the year 1941 and the acts amendatory thereto, a tax of One -
H41C ( *) mill for the year 1943 is hereby levied.
For the purpose of maintaining the City Library, .in accordance
with the provisions of an amendment to the Constitution of
the State of Arkansas., adopted November 5 , 1940 , a tax of
4) mill for the year 1943 is hereby levied.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit
a . certified copy of this ordinance to the County Clerk of Pulaski
County to the end that the taxes herein recited may be extended on
the tax books of Pulaski County and collected with the other taxes
for the year 1943-
SECTION 3. Action under the terms of this ordinance is
immediately necessary if the public health program, policy and
protection be not seriously curtailed, and as such curtailment would
result in endangering the health, lives and property of the citizens
of Little Rock, therefore an emergency 1s hereby' declared to exist
and thiei1ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
the date "of its passage.
