AN ORDINANCE MAKING "P" STREET FROM TYLER TO POLK STREETS A ONE -
7TAY STREET FOR WEST BOUND TRAFFIC; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLA-
TION OF THIS ORDINANCE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, AR'r:ANSAS;
SECTION 1. From and after the passage of this ordinance,
it shall be unlawful for any vehicle to use "P" Street from Tyler
to Folk Streets in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas while traveling
East, and "P" Street from Tyler to Polk Streets shall be used only
by traffic traveling West.
SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than one
dollar ($1.00) and not more than five dollars ($5.00) .
SECTION 3. Because much confusion and congestion have re-
sulted from the use of "P" Street fior both East and '`Test bound
traffic, and because it is in the public interest that this con-
fusion should be resolved immediately, therefore, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety,
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
