AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
TO PURCHASE A PATROL WAGON FOR THE USE OF THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE
DEPARTMENT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. She Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorA e t
ai `directed to purchase for the use of the Little Rook Police
Department, one patrol wagon to be suitably equipped for the trans-
portation of prisoners from the place of arrest to the Police Sta-
tion and for other kindred purposes.
SECTION 2. Because'the present patrol wagon now used by the
Police Department is inadequate and unsatisfactory, for its pur-
poses, and because a satisfactory patrol wagon is necessary for
the efficient operation of the Police Department, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being necessary for
the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall be
k in full force and effect from and after its passage.
