AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
TO PURCHASE A ONE TON TRUCK CHASSIS FOR THE USE OF THE LITTLE ROCK
FIRE DEPARTMENT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of_ Public Affairs is hereby authorized
and directed to advertise for bids for and make purchase intbe manner
provided by law of the following:
1 - New One Ton Truck Chassis, to
replace the 1913 American
LaFrance Truck now used as
the High Pressure Wagon by
the Little Rock Fire Department.
SECTION 2• Because the apparatus described above is necessary
for the effioient functioning of the Little Kock Fire Department,
and for the protection of the citizens and property of Little Rock,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance, being
¢ necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and {
safety, shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
