AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIG AFFAIRS
TO CONTRACT FOR.THE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS AND.ADDITIONS
TO THE.FIRE STATION LOCATED AT_25RD AND.ARCH.STREETS IN THL- CITY.OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

SECTION 1. The Board.of Public Affairs is hereby authorized

looated at 23rd and Arch Streets in the
City of Little Rook, Arkansas, as follows:
(1) The installation of two (2) Overhead Doors to replace
the two (2) double doors in the apparatus room.
(2) The construction of a room approximately 161feet by
20 feet to be added to said fire station to relieve
the crowded condition resulting from the present day
type of apparatus now in service in the Fire Station.

because the present facilities at said fire station are inadequate
to oare for the needs of this region to the best advantage; and be-
cause the addition of the above described improvements will assist
in correcting this condition; an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of
