AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK TO BE A NUISANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL; DECLARING AN.SMER-
GENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council has found as a fact that the
owners of the following desoribel property, to-wit:

have allowed the buildings located on said property to deteriorate'.to
the extent that said buildings have been found by the Fire Committee
i of the Little Rook City Council to be hazardous in that they and eaah

of them constitute a fire hazard, and in addition. are dangerous to the
life 4nd limb of the public; and same and each of them are hereby de-
clared to be nuisances. And the Chief of the Fire Department is hereby
authorized and instructed to serve the owners of each of said pieces
of property, with a copy of this ordinance and notify said owner or
owners that the respective pieces of property must either be torn down
and removed or remodeled within thirty (3) days from the date hereof.
SECTION 2. In the event .the owner or owners of any of said

the front door of each of said buildings and report such action to the

SRG'IOIi 3. Any owner or owners of any .of the with-iiteeri�3 r `i
property failing or refusing to conform to the provisions'of "thin
or_dinanee shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof in the Little Rook Municipal Court shall be fined in any sum
not less than Twenty -five Dollars ($25.00) nor more than Three Hundred
Dollars ($300.00).

SECTION 4. The City Attorney is hereby authorized and instructed
to proceed to take all necessary court action in order to secure the
removal of the property herein declared to be a nu�sanoe if same is
not removed or remodeled within thirty days (30) of the date hereof.
SECTION 5. Because these pieces of property in their existing
state present a constant fire hazard and danger to the community; and

because the above described conditions of fire hazard should be

this ordinance, being necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public peace, health and safety, the same shall be in full force and
effect from and'after its passage.
