AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
TO PURCHASE 18x000 AUTO LICENSE STICKERS AND 18,000 RECEIPT FORMS
THEREFOR; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized
and directed to purchase, in the manner provided by lax, the
f ollowing:
(1) 18,OOO.Auto License Stickers for the annual period beginning
May 1, 1945.
(2) 18,000 Receipt Forms appropriate for the issuance of the Auto
License Stickers mentioned above.
SECTION 2. The items mentioned in Section 1 of this Ordinance
shall be for the use of the City Collector in the issuance of Auto
License Stickers.
SECTION 3. Because it is essential that the order for the
items mentioned in Section 1 of this Ordinance be placed as soon
as possible in order that they may be received in ample time prior
to May 1, 1945; and because the purchase of these items is essen-
tial for the collection of the necessary revenue derived from the
sale of Auto License Stickers, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist, and this Ordinance being necessary for the public peace,
health and safety, shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage.
