AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE PURCHASE OF A STREET SWEEPER
FOR USE BY THE STREET DEPARTMENT, APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN
PAYMENT THEREOF; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has an opportunity
purchase from the United States Treasury Department

IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1. The City Engineer is hereby directed
,) urchase from the Treasury Department of the United
States of America one Austin - Western Patrol Type Street
Sweeper at a cost to the City of $2,525.25.
SECTION 2. The sum of $2,525.25 is hereby appro-
priated out of the Road and /or Auto Funds of the City of
Little Rock, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the warrant of the City

to the Treasurer of the United States in the sum of
$2,525.25 drawn on the funds indicated in payment for
said street sweeper to be delivered on the delivery of the
street sweeper.
SECTION 3. Because the City of Little Rock is in
need of an additional street sweeper in order to give
adequate care to the streets of Little Rook, and because
without this additional street sweeper there is great danger
that the City streets will deteriorate t-o, the detriment of
the citizens of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist, and this Ordinance being necessary for the pre -
nervation of the public peace, health and safety, shall be
in full force and effect immediately upon its passage.
