Bach employes of the City of Little, Rook, except members of the
Police and Fire Departments and except officials elected by the
voters of the City of Little Book, who is employed on a full -time
basis by the City of Little Rook, and who is compelled t-o retire
from the City's employ because of sickness or because of a permanent
disability growing out of an injury incurred in line of duty, shall,
following his retirement, be retained on the payroll of the Depart-
meat ,by which he was last smphoy4 prior to retirement, for a
period of months equal in number to the years for which said person
had been employed by the City of Little Rook, and,-for a frpctiQna

shall include the feminine as well.
SECTION 2. Members of the Police and Fire Departments are ex-
cluded from the above provisions because at the present time the
members of said departments have adequate pension and retirement
ovisions created under the State
