AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POSITION OF COOK IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT;
CREATING THE POSITION OF COOK - JANITOR IN THE CITY HALL; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The position of cook in the Police Department is
hereby abolished.
SECTION 2. The position of cook- janitor in the City Hall is
hereby created, and the person chosen to fill the position of cook-
janitor in the City Hall shall receive a monthly salary of X152.50.
SECTION 3. The person chosen to fill the position of cook-
janitor in the City Hall shall have the duty of cookin and preparing
meals for prisoners in the City Jail and the performance of such
janitorial duties as the Mayor, from time to tine, may assign to him.
SECTION 4. It is hereby made a condition of this ordinance,
and of any employment authorized or accepted under it, that no person
employed under this ordinance, or any persons claiming by, through,
or under him, shall be entitled to or shall receive or make claim for
any benefits of a pension, relief, retirement, disability, etc., nature
or for any such benefits or other benefits to be paid out of the Police-
men's Pension and Relief Fund or any similar fund.
