Home My WebLink About6802ORDINANCE NO. 6602 AN ORDINANCE CREATING VARIOUS POSITIONS IN THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND STREET DEPARTMENT, FIXING SALARIES TO BE PAID EMPLOYEES HOLD- ING CERTAIN POSITIONS IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY, ABOLISH- ING THE POSITION OF CLERK STENOGRAPHER IN THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, TRANSFERRING THE POSITION OF CLERK STENOGRAPHER IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT TO THE ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. There is hereby created the position of Junior Food Inspector in the City Health Department who shall be chosen by the Civil Service Commission in the manner provided by law. The person chosen to fill said position shall receive a monthly salary to be fixed by the head of the Department within the minimum and maximum salary limits as hereinafter set out in Section 5 of this ordinance. SECTION 29 There are hereby created in the Street Depart- ment two positions of mechanic helpers who shall be chosen by the Civil Service Commission in the manner provided by law and who shall receive a monthly salary to be fixed by the head of the Department, within the minimum and maximum salary limits as hereinafter set out in Section 5 of this ordinance. There is hereby created the position of welder in the Repair Shop of the Street Department who shall be chosen by the Civil Service Commission in the manner provided by law and who shall receive a monthly salary to be fixed by the head of the Department, within the minimum and maximum salary limits as hereinafter set out in Section 5 of this ordinance. SECTION 3. The position of clerk - stenographer in the Engineer Department is hereby transferred to the Electric Department. SECTION 4. The position of clerk - stenographer in the Health Department is hereby abolished. SECTION 5.
