AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF EMPLOYEE TRAINING PROGRAMS, PROVIDING FOR PAY FOR TIME SPENT IN ATTENDANCE AT SUCH SCHOOLS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. 1'1henever, in the opinion of the respective Council Committees, having supervision or control over the various departments of the City of Little Rock, a program is needed for the training of employees of said departments while said employees remain in the service of the city, the respective Council Committees, as they may now or hereafter be constituted, are hereby authorized to establish such "In Service" training schools as in the Committee's opinion may be necessary; and said Committees are hereby authorized to require or compel the attendance at said school of any employees in said department. SECTION 2. Any employee whose attendance is required at such "In Service" training programs shall be paid for his attendance at a rate to be fixed by the Committee ordering his attendance not to exceed his regular rate of pay. SECTION 3. Said Committees are authorized, with the approval of the Mayor, to employ such instructors for said "In Service" train- ing programs as, in the opinion of the Council Committee, may be necessary.
