AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE.BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO MAKE A
CONTRACT FOR CERTAIN REPAIRS TO THE CARETAKER'S HOUSE IN BOYLE
PARK; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Public Affairs is hereby authorized
and directed to make a contract, in the anount provided by law, for
the following repairs to the Caretaker's house in Boyle Park:
Reroof the building with 167 pound hexagonal composition
shingles, replacing whatever roof sheathing may be
necessary.
Replace with concrete the present log foundations of
the Caretaker's house.
SECTION 2. Because the Caretaker's house in Boyle Park
is in an advanced state of disrepair, and because failure to
repair it immediately may result in substantial damage to the
City's investment there, and because the items mentioned above
are necessary for its immediate repair, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, and this ordinance is found to be necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety and
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
