DEPA'?T11E -,TT, DECLA II1dG Aid EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT 01-MAI_TED BY THE CITY C'JUNCIL`OF LITTLE = OC i, A' XA_JSAS:
SECTIOT 1. There are hereby created six additional positions
of enploymer_t in the Fire Department of the City of Little Roc! :. Uaid
Positions of employment being as follows:
1 Senior Captain
1 Junior Captain
2 Drivers
2 'nose 11en
SE:;TIO`T 2. The persons c --,oxen to fill said nositicns shall
be chosen by the Civil Service Commission in the manner provided by
L.aw and shall receive as ronthly salary such amounts as are no- :r being
paid to persons holding similar positions in the Fire Department.

CT jd 3. Because the - Positions of employment created in
Section 1 of tr.is Ordinance are necessary for the 1preservation of
the Citizens of Little ock, and their property, from the ravage of
fire, an emergency is h'ei•eby declared to exist, and this Ordinance
is found to be necessary for the preservation of the public peace,
health and safety and shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
