AN ORDNANCE TO VAC JE, AND ABANDON A
PORTION OF A CERTAIN ALLEY IN THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Council of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas on the 10th day of December, 1945, asking the City
Council to vacate and abandon a portion of an alley which runs North and South
through Block 2140 original City of Little Roc'_, and lying between lots one to
Six, inclusive, and Lots Seven to Twelve, inclusive, for a distance of one foot
on either side of the alley so as to leave the alley a width of eighteen feet
instead of the claimed twenty feet, which alley extends from Fifteenth Street
to Sixteenth Street, and
,WHEREI�S, it does not appear that Block 214 of the original City of
Little Rock is of record in any plat book in the Recorder's office of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, it does appear in plats of the original City of Little Rock
compiled by various persons, some of which do not show an alley extending through
Block 214, and
i:HEREAS, it does appear from a plat of the City known as the Bagley
Plats, that an alley does extend through t is block, as shown by the plat commonly
used as a reference plat in the office of the County Recorder of Pulaski County,
and
WHEREAS, a copy of said plat has been duly filed with the petition
and accepted by the Council and a true copy of the plat of Block 214 of the orig-
inal City of Little Rock, and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council has at the
time and place mentioned in the notice heard all parties desiring to be heard on
the question and has ascertained that the portion of the alley hereinbefore described
has been acquired by public use as an alley but the portion desired to be vacated
and abandoned has never actually been used by the public prior to the filing of
the petition and subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all the owners of the
property abutting the portion of the alley to be vacated have filed with '::he Council
their written consent to such abandonment, and
VMEREAS, the Council finds that public interest and welfare will not
be affected by the abandonment of the portion of said alley as herein set out,

ROCK:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COTRXIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
SECTION I. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby releases, vacates,
and abandons all of its rights together with the rights of the public generally
in and to the portion of the alley designated as follows:
"One foot on each side of the alley eztanding through Block 214,
original City of Little Rock,Arkansas, from Fifteenth Street to
Sixteenth Street, and lying between Lots One to Six, inclusive,
and Lots Seven to Twelve, inclusive, in said Block."
SECTION II. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk
shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of the County and Recorded in the
Deed Records of the County.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
