ORDINANCE NO . 6936
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTINUANCE OF A GROUP INSURANCE
ON NON- UNIFORMED EMPLOYEES: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The payments that the City of Little Rock makes
upon a Group Insurance which it assists in maintaining upon the
lives of the non - uniformed employees of the City shall automatic-
ally cease as each employee terminates his active service, except
that the City shall continue the payments when the active service
is terminated on account of sickness, injury, or retirement.
Said payments by the City shall continue so long as the employee
or former employee in question continues to pay his portion of
the Premium. In the event that the City continues paying an
Insurance Premium after the termination of the active service
of the employee, the City shall pay thereafter only that portion
of the Premium paid during the active service of such employee.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
