AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
TO BE "ONE -WAY" STREETS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

jSECTION 1: When signs are erected giving notice thereof;
(1) Vehicular traffic on Seeond,Street from Rector to Cross Streets

lar traffic on Fourth Street from Cross to Rector Streets inclusive
shall proceed in an eastbound direction only. (3) Vehicular traffic
on Sixth Street from Rector to Woodlane Streets inclusive shall
proceed in a westbound direction only. (4) Vehicular traffic on
Scott Street from Markham to Fourteenth Streets inclusive shall
proceed in a southbound direction only. (5) Vehicular traffic on
Louisiana Street from Fourteenth to Markham Streets inclusive shall
proceed in a northbound direction only.
SECTION 2: Any person operating a vehicle in violation of the
provisions of Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and on conviction shall be fined any sum from Two Dollars
($2.00) to Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00), or shall be imprison-
ed for i period of time not to exceed thirty days, or both fined
and imprisoned.
SECTION 3: Because the control of traffic on the streets of
Little Rock constitutes a major problem of City Government, and
because at the present time the traffic condition is hazardous.to
the property and persons of the City of Little Rook, and because
the creation of the "One -way" streets described above will correct
this condition, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
Ordinance is found to be necessary for the preservation of the
public peace, health and safety and shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
