AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARY OF RAM O OPERATORS IN THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: The salary of radio operators in the Police De-
partment is hereby fixed at One Hundred Seventy Seven Dollars
and Fifty Cents ($177 .50) per month, payable as other salaries
in the Police Department are paid.
SECTION 2. Because at the present time the salaries paid
radio operators in the Police Department of the City of Little
Rook are inadequate as compared with the salaries paid radio
operators in private employment,and are inadequate as compared
with the salaries paid other policemen;and, whereas this condi-
tion is preventing the City from obtaining the services of
radio operators it needs for the protection of the citizens of
Little Rock and their property] and because this condition
should be corrected at once, an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and the same shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
