AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THOSE PORTIONS OF STREETS AND ALLEYS TRAVERSED BY RAILROAD TRACKS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. No person, firm or corporation shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle upon any street or alley in the` Mt"jr Rock, traversed by railroad tracks, in such a fashion as to inter- fere with the movement of railroad cars and equipment upon such railroad tracks. SECTION 2. Any person, firm or corporation violating Sec- tion 1 of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less than Two Dollars ($2.00) or more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or imprisoned for not to exceed fifteen days, or both fined and imprisoned. SECTION 3. Because at the present time persons are parking automobiles upon streets and alleys traversed by railroad tracks in such a fashion as to interfere with the transportation of supplies and equipment over such tracks and because this delays the citizens of Little Rook from receiving necessary supplies and increases the load upon railroad systems that are already over crowded, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance is found to be necessary to the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and the same shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
