ORDINANCE NO.- 7099
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE SALARIES OF ALL
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, WITH
THE EXCEPTION OF THE CHIEFS OF THE POLICE
AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Effective the 1st day of September,
1946, the salary of each and every employee of the City
of Little Rock, with the exception of the Chief of Police
and Chief of the Fire Department, shall be increased as
follows:
(a) All employees now receiving a gross salary
of $200.00 per month and less from the City of Little Rock
shall have a monthly salary increase of 12j%.
(b) All employees now receiving a gross salary
of $300.00 per month and less from the City of Little Rock
shall receive a monthly salary increase of 72 %.
(c) All employees now receiving a gross salary
in excess of $300.00 from the City of Little Rock shall
receive a monthly salary increase of 5 %.
SECTION 2. Such salary increases shall be paid
to the various employees from the appropriate funds and in
a like manner as the present salary of the respective em-
ployees.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinan-
ces in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and unless
the provisions of this ordinance are put into effect immed-
iately, the public peace, health and safety will be adversely
effect6d; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
