AN ORDINANCE APiROPRIATING $327.23
AND FOR OTHRR PURPOSES.
Whereas, on the 11th day of July, 1946,
a city truck driven by an employee of the City of
Little Rock, while such driver was acting within
t` the scope of his employment, was involved in an P
accident on Byrd Street between 8th and 9th Streets,
in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Wh -reas, as a result of said accident,
Royce Lynn Barrett, aged eight (8), the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Darrell Garrett lost his life although
• there was no negligence upon the part of the City
of Little Rock or its employee who was driving said
truck, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated
out of the General Fund of the City of Little Rock
the sum of three hundred twenty -seven (327.23)
and 23/100 dollars to be paid to Mr. and Mrs. Darrell
Garrett.
SECTION 2. This sum constitutes the
expenses of the funeral of Royce Lynn Garrett, and
the proper city officials are hereby authorized and
directed to take all steps necessary and proper for
the payment of the above amount from the General
Fund of5 e' ity of Little Rock to Mr. and Mrs.
Garrett.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed,
and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
