ORDINANCE NO. 7159
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE OWNER OF PROPERTY ADJACENT TO McLEAN
STREET, IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, TO PAVE, AT HIS OWN
EXPENSE, A PORTION OF SAID STREET DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING
AT THE SE CORNER OF BLOCK 11, RECTOR TOWN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, RUN THENCE EAST 25 FEET, THENCE NORTH 100
FEET, THENCE WEST 25 FEET, THENCE SOUTH 100 FEET TO POINT OF
BEGINNING.
WHEREAS, Harry Hastings owns the South half of Block 11,
Rector Town Addition to the City of Little Rock, and has erected
thereon a warehouse building which covers the entire South half of
said Block, and two (2) entrance doors to said warehouse on the
East side thereof, open onto land which is platted as McLean Street;
that that portion of McLean Street which is North of East Fifth
Street has never been graded, improved, or used as a street, by
reason of the fact that the Rock Island railroad tracks and right
of way curve to the left and nearly intersect the Northeast corner
of said block at East Fourth Street, rendering it impossible to
connect up McLean Street with East Fourth Street; and
WHEREAS, the said Harry Hastings has agreed to pave at his
own expense, a strip of land 25 feet wide by 100 feet long, extend-
ing out into said McLean Street,
NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1, That Harry Hastings, the owner of the South
half of Block 11, Rector Town Addition to the City of Little Rock,
be, and he is hereby authorized to pave at his own expense, that
portion of McLean Street in the City of Little Rock, described as
follows:
Beginning at the SE corner of Block 110 Rector Town
Addition to the City of Little Rock, thence run East
25 feet, thence North 100 feet; thence West 25 feet,
thence South 100 feet to point of beginning,
and the City Engineer is authorized to issue a permit for the said
construction work.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in

conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
