AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING- THE TIME FOR
PAYMENT OF i'HE PRIVILEGE TAXES PRO-
VIDED FOR IN ORDINANCE NO. 4550, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is in the process of
revamping the ordinances governing and controll-
ing the work of electrical contractors at the
present time, and
WHEREAS, it will not be practical to collect a privilege
tax under the present ordinances for the year
1947 until after these readjustments are made,
NOVI, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS,
SECTION 1. The privilege tax upon electrical
contractors levied by Ordinance 4550 and collected by the
City Collector of the City of Little Rock for the year
1946 shall be valid until the lst day of Miarch, 1947, and
the City Collector shall not assess or collect any privi-
lege taxes from any electrical contractor for the privilege
of doing electrical contracting work within the City of
Little Rock until the 1st day of March, 1947. Ordinance No.
4550 is hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this
ordinance.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance _
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
