AN ORDINANCE CREATING WO ADDITIONAL
POSITIONS OF 171EAT INSPECTOR IN `.t'HE CITY
HEALTH DEPARTMENT; FIXIN�G THE SALARY
T MEOF; AND FOR OTHIE PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COT.TCIL OF THE CITY 0:1 LITTLE ROCK, ARK.
SECTION 1. Two additional positions of Neat In-
spector in the City Heal th Department of the City of Little Rock
are hereby created.
SECTION 2. The persons to fill these positions
created by Section 1 of this Ordinance shall be chosen by the
Civil Service Commission in the manner provided by lava, shall possess
such qualifications as are -set forth by the Civil Service Commiss-
ion and each shall receive a salary o Two Hundred (v200.00) Dollars
per month, which amount shall be inclusive of any sum paid such
employees under the "on the job" trainin,7- prorram of the United
States Government. In addition to the above salary, the persons
filling the positions created by this ordinance shall receive the
sum of Sixty Dollars 0 60.00) per month as automobile expenses.
SECTION 3. Such additional Iaieat Inspectors shall in-
spect and see that the places and equipment used for, and the pro-
ducts contained in packing houses, slaughter houses, abattoirs,
and other places where meat, meat products, and poultry are held,
contained, or processed, conform to the standards as set forth by
ordinances, laws, end regulations, and shall perform such other
duties as the City Health.Officer shall direct.
k SECTION 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed , and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passa -e and approv-
al.
