AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THAT PORTION
OF VAN BUREN STREET LYING BETW99N BLOCK 1 AND
BLOCK 2, HILLCREST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND BEt NG BOUNDEN ON THE NORTH
BY NORTH LOOKOUT STREET AND ON THE SOUTH BY
HILLCR98T STREET, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
" ,VR A$, a petition was duly filed with the City Council d'
Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 7th day cf April, 1947, asking the
City Council to vacate and abandon all that portion of Van Buren
Street designated on the plat of Hillcrest Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, now appearing of record in Plat Book 1,
Page 57, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
lying between Block 1 and Block 2, Hillcrest Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, and being bounden on the North by North
Lookout and on the South by Hillcrest Str -,et, and,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Council
has, at the time and placs mentioned in the notice, heard all

persons desiring to be heard,on the question and has ascertained tbiat
the portion of the street,hereinabove described, has heretofore been
dedicated to the Public use, andhas not been used by the public
generally for a period of at least five years subsequent to the filing
of the plat; that all the owners of the property abutting upon the
portion of the street to be vacated have filed with the Council their
written consent to such abandonment; and that the public interest and
welfare will not be adversely affected by -the abandonment of such
portion of the said street.

X Rif, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council 0f, the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the portion of Van Buren Street designated
as follows:
All that portion of Van Buren Street in Hillcrest
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, bounden
on the -East by Block 2 thereof and on West by
Block 1 thereof and on the North by/L Street and
B otha a ooataddjtionlest Street. A plat of said
appearing or record in Book 1
Page 57 in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski

ounty, Arkansas.

SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Gerk, shall be filed in the office-of-the the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of Pulaski County.
SE-MI-01 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
